Shelter Cove Community Park has become a popular place for Island Recreation Association’s festivals.
This community park is also a fantastic place to relax and enjoy magnificent views of Broad Creek. It sits directly behind the Shelter Cove Towne Centre, giving guests an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Hilton Head Island after shopping or dining.
The park occupies approximately five acres and boasts a performance and sunset pavilion, several picnic tables, shade structures, bathrooms, a playground, an observation deck, trails, Wi-fi, a Veterans’ Memorial, fountain and marsh-front views.
Every week during the summer the park is home to Summer Jams, hosted by Shelter Cove Towne Centre.
It’s a fun opportunity to enjoy a picnic and a sunset serenade at the pavilion. Not to mention the sunsets you’ll see while on the banks of beautiful Broad Creek. Bring a beach chair, blanket, and pick up a picnic from one of our local merchants. Summer Jams feature live local music and laid back family entertainment. Between Thanksgiving and through New Years, the seasonal lights of the Towne Center extend into the Shelter Cove Community Park. It is an amazing a holiday wonderland.
