For a traditional pumpkin picking experience, Dempsey Farms has acres of pumpkins as well as fall/winter vegetables to choose from at a family-operated farm. Teachers, school trips are available. Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens
For those more interested in taking in the beauty of the fall, the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, in Savannah, is a must see. The Autumn Gardenfest allows guests to browse from nursery vendors, shop for garden tools and sit in on a few lectures. The Gardens feature a display of colorful cucurbits (like pumpkin and squash), which stretch along the 200-foot Crapemyrtle Allee.
