Lace-up for the USA 5K for a unique run/walk event. In collaboration with the Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island, we present a beachside celebration blending fitness, fun, and philanthropy. Race on America’s top-ranked beach at sunrise on a flat, spacious route ideal for achieving personal milestones or leisurely strolls with family and friends. Race starts at 8 a.m.
The Palmetto Running Company Hilton Head Firecracker 5K
Experience a family-friendly run and walk starting at the stunning Jarvis Creek Park, offering a scenic tour of Hilton Head Island. After crossing the finish line, join the post-race party to celebrate with snacks, DJ music, games, and more! Race starts at 8 a.m.

Patriotic Parade in Harbour Town
Kick off your day with a dose of patriotism by attending one of Hilton Head Island’s festive parades. The annual Harbour Town Fourth of July Parade is a must-see. Adorned with red, white, and blue decorations, the parade features decorated bikes, floats, marching bands, and the joyful spirit of local residents and visitors alike. Don’t miss the chance to participate or simply enjoy this vibrant display of community pride. The parade starts at 8:30 a.m.

The Frosty Frog 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest
It’s back!

2024 HarbourFest 4th of July Fireworks
HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina is traditionally known as the biggest 4th of July fireworks show on Hilton Head Island. Experience Shannon Tanner’s family show from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., followed by a patriotic Parrot Palooza Sunset Celebration with Shannon Tanner & the Oyster Reefers at 7:15 p.m. Kids can enjoy activities with Cappy the Clown from 6-9 p.m., and there are bounce houses and train rides around the promenade for an additional cost starting at 6:00 pm!
For a safe and convenient entry and exit, take advantage of our free shuttle service from the parking lot near Fresh Market at the Hargray building to Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina. The shuttles run continuously from 5:30-10:30 p.m., ensuring hassle-free transportation to and from the HarbourFest events. Parking is free at this lot for all attendees.

2024 Harbour Town 4th of July Fireworks
Harbour Town hosts a dazzling fireworks display, illuminating the sky above the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse and Calibogue Sound. Enjoy delicious food, lively entertainment, and live music. The fireworks spectacle will begin around 9 p.m.
