Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort hosts seasonal concert series, called Music and Taste on the Harbour.
Music and Taste on the Harbour brings local bands to perform for visitors and locals alike. During each seasonal series, concerts take place on Thursday nights from 6-9 p.m. at Shelter Cove Harbour. Bistro lights hang around the iconic King Neptune statue and provide a festive feeling and ambience.
“The visitor feedback is always fun to hear,” said Kelly Lloyd, marketing coordinator for Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. “They are mind blown at the concept of a free outdoor concert in such a beautiful setting.”

The Neptune statue provides the perfect place within the Harbour to dance the night away while listening to favorite local bands.
Seating is limited to a few benches and chairs, so guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs so they can relax and enjoy the cool night along the harbor while listening and dancing to some great tunes.
“The entertainment is all from local bands,” said Lloyd. “Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina restaurants and shops are all owned by local owners, so we feel as if the music should reflect that as well. Each band has their own unique feel but appeal to a wide audience.”
Many of the bands return for multiple seasons.
“We book local entertainment based on the feedback from the crowds,” said Lloyd. “Some years, we stick to crowd favorites and sometimes we try something new!”

While the bands play, waterfront restaurants, located within Shelter Cove, set up tents and sell small appetizers, house drinks and cocktails for attendees.
Bring some money and an ID for alcoholic drinks. Attendees are also encouraged to bring canned good donations for the Deep Well Project, a local nonprofit Hilton Head Charity.
