Actual fireworks aren’t the only things electrifying the air in July. Finding a challenge that excites and absorbs you, moves you and makes you want to be better changes everything. My suggestion: the game of golf!
J – Junior Golf
Junior golf is popular now because the kiddos are out of school and ready to explore and discover a little more independently. Junior classes and private lessons can catapult children of all ages to new heights in their self-confidence.
U – Unlimited Benefits of the Game
Time outdoors, exercise, increased brain plasticity. Movement, fun, motivation. Parents and grandparents are spending quality time with children of all ages, while making memories and developing character and new skills. Strangers are greeting each other on the fairway and bonding over a shared passion. Couples are finding new ways to relate to each other. It’s all happening out here on the green!
L – Love of Achievement
So much is accomplished and achieved in golf training. Success breeds more success and competence leads to assurance in other areas of life. For example, the over-the-water shot can devastate a golfer’s confidence. In lessons, we focus first on the process that creates the desired result. Then we breathe through the nose, identifying any tension in the body before stretching it out. Then we swing, trust it and let go. What a great feeling!
Y – Youthful Joy
I have people telling me all the time that they used to be able to drive the ball a lot further and asking for help. When they take a lesson, they find that they can significantly improve their game, all with less effort than they were putting in before. You know what I hear the most? “Why didn’t I do this ages ago? I feel ten years younger!”
Here on Hilton Head, there are endless ways to improve your game. Try the state-of-the-art facilities at the Robert Trent Jones Top Tracer Driving Range, which has no equal in South Carolina. This is the premier place on the Island to practice your swing and cool, shady spots abound. See you there!
