Experience life at its best playing golf.
Walking down the golf course fairway, anticipating playful mental and physical challenges ahead, is a delightful experience.
I feel a soft breeze, see the big sky and reflect upon my execution strategy. My heartbeat increases, I systematically breathe and my heart rate decreases. I wiggle my hands, and then I casually approach the ball. Next, I continue with light breathing, soften my arms and turn rhythmically, using my natural pace.
Watch that ball go!
Experiences are powerful. Striking a golf ball correctly is exhilarating, smooth and effortless, like water flowing down a waterfall. It’s difficult to believe how fast the ball goes with such little effort. No muscle power required.
Experiences are eternal. At the next social event, ask someone about their favorite golf experience. Look for the immediate smile that lingers during the story.
The next purchase of a material thing is temporary.
Experiences are a fundamental part of our identity. Material items are merely a facade. Experiences dwell deep within us and emanate out through our smile, resulting in a passion for golf, which is truly a game for a lifetime.
Experiences empower us as we overcome challenges and participate in this moderate exercise. When we share golf with others close to us, it is especially satisfying.
Recently, a golfer was faced with a 50-yard golf shot over a large, tall bunker. I wanted to suggest going around, but I remained silent. The player went directly over the tallest bunker, toward the flag and the
ball landed successfully near the flag. He jumped for joy and ran to the ball to putt it in. He now looks forward to the next challenge.
Experiences can be anticipated, as you prepare for a golf game in the future. The golf experience encourages you to stretch, walk, sleep and eat correctly. This can improve your game as well as your life.
Experiences are enjoyable from the very first moments of planning, all the way through to the memories that can be cherished forever.
We can be defined by things we have seen, things we have done and places we have been. I invite you to play Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort’s three exceptional golf courses and to experience golf — and life — at its best.
Let’s make some memorable experiences. I hope to see you out on the course!
