Who says you can’t live on a subtropical island and still enjoy the fun that snow brings without the below freezing temperatures? Here on Hilton Head Island, the Island Recreation Association has made that possible.
Every year at the end of January, the Island Recreation Association hosts a Snow Day at Shelter Cove Community Park, bringing with them a snow machine that transforms a portion of the field into a winter wonderland kids love. Inflatables, pony rides and live entertainment are also part of the fun, in addition to food vendors with all kinds of warm treats to make sure no one gets too chilly.
