The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Lila Arnold of Lowcountry Raptor for Winged Wonders of the Lowcountry on Feb. 22, 2017 at 3 p.m. Through public education, Lowcountry Raptor fosters a connection between people and birds of prey. Their goal is to help the human part of the natural community learn to value, understand and honor the role of wildlife while preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Lowcountry. In doing so, they hope to create a future generation of bird lovers. All the birds of prey featured in the program are non-releasable due to permanent injury and can no longer survive in the wild. You will see these magnificent birds up close and hear about the role they play in the ecosystem of our Lowcountry.
$7 per person, for ages 12 and older only, and reservations are required. For more information, or to register for this event, call the Coastal Discovery Museum at (843) 689-6767 ext, 224 or coastaldiscovery.org.
