St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church at 20 Pope Avenue on Hilton Head Island has scheduled Holy Week events, including its annual community Sunrise Easter Service on the beach at Coligny Park. The community is invited to attend all of the events.
- Children of all ages are invited on Palm Sunday, March 24, to participate in Easter Egg dyeing at 10:30 am – 11 am, creating colorful eggs (and fingers!), which will be outside the doors of the Education Building at the church. The church’s traditional Palm Procession will take place at the start of the 9 am and 11:09 am worship services, with kids gathering in the chapel before each service. Following the 11:09 am worship service, at approximately 12:15 pm, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and participants are asked to bring their own baskets, if possible.
- On Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 6 pm, St. Andrew will host a worship service with communion in the sanctuary. It will be in-person and livestream.
- Easter Sunday, March 31, the church will host three worship services, starting at 7 am for the Sunrise Service on the beach at Coligny Park. Celebrate the Resurrection as the sun rises at the edge of the ocean. The church will also have services in its sanctuary at 9 am and 11:09 am.
