November 6: The Coastal Discovery Museum will host a sea turtle lantern workshop to make your lantern for our upcoming Lantern Parade. Created by and featuring artist Chantelle Rytter, the Lantern Parade is a free event scheduled for November 9. This is a great opportunity for the surrounding community and visitors to celebrate the history, ecology, and people of Hilton Head Island. We want to see our whole community as volumes of light! As a special workshop ahead of the Lantern Parade, Chantelle Rytter will be on hand to help residents and visitors create their own Sea Turtle Lantern. 4-6 p.m., for children; one adult must accompany each child. Cost is $15 per lantern and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223 or coastaldiscovery.org. The Coastal Discovery Museum is located at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.
