April 28: Make a positive difference in your life and the lives of others by participating in the Palmetto Heart Walk on Saturday, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives and this year’s events begins with a one mile loop or a 5K route at 8:30 a.m. with family fun activities at supporting vendor tents. Stage presentations begin at 9 a.m. Runners, walkers and well-behaved dogs are welcome. No fees required. Shelter Cove Towne Centre, 40 Shelter Cove Ln. www2.heart.org.
