“Being Jewish” is many things-celebrating, eating, laughing, loving and sometimes experiencing sadness or fear. To that end, we are presenting the first Lowcountry Jewish Film Festival sponsored by Congregation Beth Yam. The festival will also serve as an outreach and education opportunity and be open to the community.
The Festival’s mission is, ”to promote new ideas, invite discussion and strengthen the common fabric of our multi-cultural community by presenting a diverse array of independent films.” The films, from varying sources, will address a wide range of topics thought to be relevant toward meeting the Festival’s stated mission of highlighting the various aspects of “Being Jewish” in the United States, Israel and the world. $12 for tickets. 843-689-2178 or www.bethyam.org/.
