This intimate and inspiring two-night celebration of Black culture, artistry, and heritage features award-winning artisans and culture bearers from across the South. From New Orleans beadwork to Lowcountry farming and fire-forged flavors, this series celebrates the work and wisdom that keep traditions alive.

Each night will feature powerful films followed by live, in-person conversations with the artists and culture keepers whose stories are on screen—including Big Chief Demond Melancon, heritage rice farmer Marion “Rollen” Chalmers, Chef BJ Dennis, and pitmaster legends Ed and Ryan Mitchell. Moderated by historian and Ph.D. candidate André L. Taylor, this event promises a rare, up-close glimpse into the labor behind cultural legacy.
