The Heritage Library invites you to “Authors & Afternoon Tea.” On May 12 from 2-4 p.m., Keith Rushing discusses his book, Descended: Searching for My Gullah-Geechee Roots. Rushing weaves personal discovery with historical insight, tracing a lineage shaped by resilience and culture. The May 17 tea takes place from 1-3 p.m. and is ideal for families and young readers. 10-year-old author Andraya Brabham and her mother, Angella Cohen, share their debut children’s book, The Adventures of Chocolate Drop and discuss their creative process, the power of storytelling, and how children can find joy through reading and writing. www.heritagelib.org/classes-events.
