May 3-4: The 4C Totally Light Big Shot Volleyball Series, presented in Hilton Head by Spalding and Sprout Watches, at the Beach House. Teams from throughout the East Coast will compete as they warm up for the 2014 summer season. Top male and female doubles teams will compete for $2,000 cash prizes plus a trip to the $8,000 Big Shot Championships at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Tournament play will start at 9 a.m. with women’s finals scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday and men’s finals 12 noon on Sunday. Admission is free for all spectators.
Separate divisions will be held for players of intermediate and novice levels on Saturday and Sunday. The $60 entry fee entitles players to a full day of tournament play, an official Sprout Watch Big Shot Volleyball t-shirt, and a chance to win merchandise prizes from tournament sponsors 4C Totally light 2Go, Reflekt Polarized sunglasses, Spalding, ZEMgear, SOB Vacations, Rider Sandals, Karch Kourt net systems, Dig Magazine, and Sports Authority. The public can met the players every Saturday evening at the official Player’s Party at the Beach Club’s Tiki Bar.
