September 24: The Coastal Discovery Museum will host Sally Krebs at 3 p.m. for a program about the piping plovers on Hilton Head Island. Piping plovers are small, endangered shorebirds that fly thousands of miles to come to this area for the winter. Find out why and how the Town of Hilton Head Island is helping to ensure their survival. This program is sponsored in part by the Kroger Foundation. Krebs is a biologist that has worked for the Town of Hilton Head Island for 28 years as Natural Resources Administrator and Sustainable Practices Coordinator.
