The National Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 3, 2018 from noon-1 p.m. at the Beaufort County Library, Hilton Head Island Branch we invite you to join us for The National Day of Prayer. This year’s theme is  Pray for America-UNITY.

On April 17, 1952, President Harry Truman signed a bill proclaiming the National Day of Prayer into law in the United States. President Reagan amended the law in 1988, designating the first Thursday of May each year as the National Day of Prayer.  The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held the first Thursday in May each year.  It is on this day the people come together in Unity to pray for America. This event is open to every ethnicity, all religions and every person interest in praying for Unity in America.  This is not a political platform.
