February 5: The Coastal Discovery Museum will present “Beaks for all Occasions” at 3 p.m. in the Sea Island Room. The program will look at the diversity in form and function of bird beaks. The talk will focus on the different shapes of bird beaks and why beaks look the way they do. The discussion will be illustrated with some of Robert’s photographs of American birds, with a strong emphasis on birds of the Lowcountry. Lastly the talk will conclude with audience participation in a fun game about beaks. Robert Rummel, a professional nature photographer, will present the program.
