South Beach Marina is home to more than just the Salty Dog Cafe. Come grab a bite to eat and great views at these great restaurants:
The Salty Dog Cafe
The world famous Salty Dog Cafe has been an island favorite for years. With their iconic logo, the Salty Dog is more than just a restaurant. You can dine outside in the shade with views of the marsh and marina, or you can enjoy your meal inside and escape the heat. The outdoor bar is also a great way to enjoy a cold drink on the water. There is even occasional live music outside, too. The Salty Dog gives seafood a Lowcountry spin with flavors and dishes you can’t find anywhere else. Even traditional dishes like calamari get a twist with their signature “Rings of Fire”, a combination of their original ‘calypso’ sauce and a blend of spices. The Salty Dog’s full menu is a variety of tasty sandwiches, fresh coastal seafood and classic salads with a little something extra.

The Wreck of the Salty Dog
If you venture around the dock at South Beach, you’ll stumble upon the Wreck of the Salty Dog. It’s everything you love about the original except with an even more relaxed and fun environment. One thing the two have in common, however, is an amazing view. The menu is another twist with some of the original dishes that made the Salty Dog so iconic, but with a few new additions to eat. Kids love the nautical, casual environment, and adults will love the great food and service. A big hit here is the ever-popular hush puppies; families come from everywhere just to see what they’re all about! Jake’s Famous Shrimp Toast, made with shrimp, jack and cheddar cheeses, toasted on a hoagie roll, is another favorite. And don’t forget to try the Lowcountry Crab Dip, served on homemade pita chips.

Jake’s Pizza
Another Salty Dog original is Jake’s Pizza. Just walk up and order at the window to eat or feel free to call in. This traditional pizza joint delivers, but only within the Sea Pines resort. Jake’s is still a hot spot during the summer, with pizzas like Garden Lovers, BBQ Chicken, and the coveted Hilton Head Islander pizza, which is topped with pineapple and banana peppers. And don’t forget to stop by the Salty Dog Ice Cream Shop, right next to Jake’s, for dessert!

Land’s End Tavern
Converted from an old boating storage facility back in 1974, Land’s End is one of the oldest continually operated restaurants on the island. The newly updated menu offers lunch, dinner, and, unlike many of the other restaurants at South Beach, even breakfast. Visitors stop by the tavern in the morning for a cup of coffee and an omelet while watching the sunrise on the water. The breakfast menu features traditional favorites like eggs benedict and shrimp and grits, as well as specialty dishes such as the Salty Dog Bowl, which is a collection of home fries, bacon, cheese, eggs and hollandaise sauce. The lunch and dinner menus, on the other hand, features some signature seafood dishes with a ‘south of the border’ flair like the Jerk Mahi Quesadilla and Crab Guacamole. It’s this mix of seafood and foreign flavor that makes Land’s End Tavern truly unique.
