Click on http://www.bobandannies.com and see where the Island Queen was built - one of a kind old fashion marina in St. James City on Pine Island, Fl.
DOLPHINS - Come see Flipper, Dolly, Rambo, Freckles & others. Yes, they are so friendly we have names for them. Go on our boat and be up close, you can touch the water.
Come to Broad Creek Marina, just 3.5 miles down Marshland Road, and turn left on Simmons Road. There are NO GATE FEES and plenty of FREE parking under our 200 year old live oak trees.
As you walk down our 700 ft. dock across the marsh, you will observe oyster beds, crabs and wading birds.
The SS PELICAN is a 21 passenger boat that is covered for your protection from the elements. Captain Sonny Compher has been narrating cruises on the waters here for the past 20 years and is very knowledgeable about the surrounding nature. This is the best nature cruise on the Island.
We cruise down beautiful Broad Creek and regularly see Mink, Otter, Osprey, Sea Turtles, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Oyster Catchers, Cormorants, Brown Pelicans and numerous other birds. If you are a Birder or Nature Lover, this is THE TRIP for you.
You may bring a small cooler or you can purchase your beverages on board.
Please ask for your FREE vacation pamphlet on the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin as you board the vessel.
We are Family Oriented, so after the cruise, just hang out and enjoy some of our other activities such as Dock Fishing (rental and bait available), Charter Fishing, Jet Skis, Boat Rentals, Sailing Charter, Water Skiing, or our Evening Sunset Cruise. Or bring your picnic basket and enjoy the view from our picnic tables near the marsh.
On Wednesday and Friday at 3 PM we offer a docent led Dolphin/History cruise with the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head. For reservations for those two cruises only call the museum at (843) 689-6767.

He was wondering out loud the author.. please point Ed to this web page and he'll see"... Ron Root.http://www.lauraerickson.com/Radio/SoundFiles/Current/October2002/Scripts/LightVerse.html

Hello Captain Sonny, The whole family had a blast on your boat

We had such a nice time on the Dolphin
cruise Thrusday. Our daughter loved driving the boat. Thanks so much. I just
e-mailed K9 to 5 (on Animal Planet) and told them about Yak. Hopefully they
will profile him on their show about working dogs!

Just wanted to let you know that your web site is great. Good
info and easy to move around. We will be vising Hilton Head Island the week of
7/8/03 and plan to take a cruise or two with your company. We will call for
reservations. Thanks again for a great web site and I've looked at them all.

Sonny, My girlfriend and I went on your dolphin
tour last Saturday and wanted to tell you we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very
relaxing and enjoyable and we would recommend it to anyone. We will be coming
there every year in August and plan on making your trip as part of our agenda.
Thanks again for the tour.

Captain Sonny,
Remember us? The families from New Albany and Gahanna? Thank you for the
cruise. The tour you provided and stories you shared made it absolutely
fabulous. Here are the pictures I promised. Hope to see you next year.
