Hilton Head Island 4th of July Fireworks! Harbour Town – will celebrate the fourth with a variety of festivities. Children’s activities, live music, food and beverage will be available as well as the fireworks display. The fireworks will begin about 9:15 (dusk) from a barge in Calibogue Sound. There is a $5.00 gate fee to enter the resort (unless you are a resident or guest staying on the resort) and a free shuttle service will be offered between Harbour Town and various parking lots in the Sea Pines Resort. July 4th Parade, 8:30- 10 a.m. Show off your red, white and blue spirit by decorating your bicycle, wagon, dog, or kids for a fun filled parade around Harbour Town. Meet at the parking lot adjacent to the Harbour Town Lighthouse at 8:30 a.m. to register and pick up decorating supplies. The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn will host a new program “Eliza Pinckney’s Indigo” at 2 p.m. “Meet” Eliza Lucas Pinckney and learn more about her role in bringing indigo to the Carolinas in the 1730s. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with Eliza and ask her questions during the program.
